Pivoting?

You might have noticed that in the last few blog posts there's been a lot of talk about e-learning, and not a lot about online storage.

Its starting to look like a startup business based around online storage might be quite hard, given timing, geographical location, and our own personal circumstances. But we're in a position where at least asking, or validating, the possibility of an e-learning system is relatively easy.

The systems that we've built so far have been in the corporate market, and are effectively using retailer education as a marketing tool. Ie the funding for these projects has come from the marketing budget of the customers. An interesting consequence of this is that it means that this form of e-learning into the same category as facebook and gmail, free to users and funded by advertising. This isnt something you'd typically associated with online learning!

The other point to note is that the requirements of the customers require a bespoke, or at least heavily customised, solution. This plays to our strengths, given that the ettrema platform has been designed from the ground up for massive flexibility.
